Condo.com (android, iphone, ipad, blackberry) — Ever wondered what condos are available around you while you are standing right in your favorite part of town? With this informative, helpful, and shopper-friendly app, you no longer have to wonder. Simply conduct a search based on your current location or, if you are looking for a different location while on the go, simply type in the address, city or zip and you’ll instantly have all the local condo listing right at your fingertips. Not only is this app a life saver when it comes to browsing condo properties in your area, it is great because it’s made with the potential buyer in mind: each listing includes all the important information, such as the price, estimated mortgage, taxes, square footage, features, maps, descriptions, and photos. If questions still linger, quickly reach the real estate agent or property manager with one tap of the “contact” feature. However, the best part of all is that this Condo.com app only features condos, therefore, you never have to filter through all the othe types of real estate listings.

Real Estate by Redfin (android, iphone, ipad) — Although this app does feature listings for various other types of real estate, it is quite simple to filter your search to include only condos. The main draw of this app is the fact that new and current listing are updated immediately when information changes and new options enter the market. Plus, the features give you the inside scoop on special offers and property details from Redfin agents themselves. Lastly, the app allows you to schedule tours from your phone and syncs with your online account so you can view your favorite condos wherever you go! (Note: Though well represented around the country, if you are looking in the New York City area, Redfin does not yet cover Manhattan and Brooklyn.)

Estately (iphone, ipod touch) — This one caught our eye because it has an excellent app rating and boasts of lots of positive user feedback. With a bit of investigation it was easy to see why so many are pleased with this app and the excellent features, such as local school information, an estimated drive time from your current location to the property, real time updates about new listings and your favorites, full-screen photos, maps, and a useful tool that allows you to add viewings to your calendar. All of this is definitely great, but the thing that stood out most about this app is the fact that they use insider data to update over one million places for sale every fifteen minutes. When they say that want you to be in the know, they mean it. (Note: Same as with Redfin, Estately has limited coverage in New York City.)

Zillow Real Estate (android, iphone, ipad, kindle fire, windows 8, blackberry) — Of course, this list wouldn’t be completely without the one and only Zillow. A big name in the real estate and renting business, they have made a name for themselves in helping individuals find real estate that is perfect for their needs and even won the “best search tools” app of the year in 2013. With maps, great photos, minute by minute updates on new listings, price changes, and sales, and ways to easily save your favorites and reach out to local real estate agents, it is no wonder that this app has everyone singing its praises.
